HepInfoNow.org and HepFlorida.org are programs of The AIDS Institute. The AIDS Institute (TAI) is a national nonprofit and nonpartisan organization based in Tampa, FL and Washington, DC. TAI’s mission is to promote action for social change through public policy, advocacy, research and education. The agency began as a grassroots community mobilization effort in 1985 in Florida. In 1992, this advocacy network became incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. TAI has expanded its mission and vision, since its work in the early 1990’s, and is today a leading national HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis organization. TAI has a national policy office in Washington, DC and national program and administrative offices in Tampa, FL at the University of South Florida College of Medicine with whom TAI collaborates on a number of programs, and the State Policy and Research offices in Tallahasee, FL.
